Reliable's sewing range stretches from portable Barracuda walking-foot machines to full industrial tables, cylinder beds and long-arm machines. That makes “Reliable walking foot” a useful category and a poor part number.
SewFitGuide currently covers machines including the Barracuda 500BW, 4510SW, 4500CW and 5400SW. Reliable documents 135x17 needle systems on several of these machines, but their layouts and intended work differ substantially.
The 500BW is a portable straight-stitch walking-foot machine. The 4500CW is a cylinder-bed compound-feed machine. The 5400SW provides an 18-inch workspace for long seams and large material. The 4510SW is a medium/heavy-duty walking-foot lockstitch machine. Leather, upholstery and canvas appear repeatedly across the range.
So yes, several machines share a needle system. No, that does not turn them into the same machine.

Reliable sewing machine parts should be looked up from the exact model number whenever possible.
A common needle system is useful because it connects machines through a real technical standard. It does not establish the bobbin, hook, walking-foot assembly, binder, belt or motor components.
SewFitGuide uses the shared system pages for the first job and model-specific compatibility records for the second.
The Barracuda range also shows why portability deserves its own distinction. A portable heavy-duty machine may be chosen for canvas repair or work away from a fixed sewing table, while a long-arm industrial machine solves an entirely different handling problem. Searching only by material can therefore produce several sensible machines with very different parts.
