Brother also supplied an Embroidery Design Boutique CD with 200 additional designs. The maximum area for a single embroidery design remains 4 x 4 inches.
Built-in designs and the CD are separate libraries
Brother lists 105 designs inside the NV990D and another 200 designs on the included Embroidery Design Boutique CD. The CD expands the available library without changing what is permanently stored in the machine.
A larger multi-position hoop does not make it a larger-field machine
Brother Support lists NV990D among the machines where a multi-position hoop can hold more fabric, but any single design is still limited to 4 x 4 inches. That distinction is useful when shopping for hoops or downloading designs.
