The Janome Quilt Maker Pro 20 is a frame-mounted longarm quilting machine with a 20-inch machine arm. Janome lists a maximum speed of 2,500 stitches per minute and stitch regulation from 4 to 24 stitches per inch, with both Precision and Cruise regulation modes. It also has a manual-speed mode, five basting-stitch intervals, a touchscreen and built-in lighting around the working area. This is not a domestic Janome that happens to use a larger bobbin. The QMP20 uses a Class M bobbin, a rotary hook and the industrial-style 134 needle system. Its manual specifically notes that 134 needles have a round shank rather than the flat-sided shank familiar from many home machines. That distinction is useful when an owner is ordering needles because a familiar-looking domestic needle is not a substitute.
