SINGER has produced enough sewing machines, naming systems and bobbin variations to make the phrase “SINGER bobbin” almost useless on its own.
Class 15 transparent and Class 15J are a good example. They are both transparent bobbins and look similar at a glance. SINGER's own guidance says they are not interchangeable. Class 15 has flat top and bottom surfaces. Class 15J is slightly curved. There are also metal Class 15 bobbins and Class 66 systems elsewhere in the SINGER world. Apparently one bobbin naming system would have been too easy.
SewFitGuide therefore starts with the machine, not with a vague assumption about the brand.
For domestic machines, the database includes models tied to documented Class 15 and Class 15J compatibility. The SINGER Heavy Duty 4423, for example, is documented for the transparent Class 15 system. Other machines in the catalogue belong to Class 15J groups.
The site also covers selected older SINGER industrial models, including machines from 111 and 211 families. Those records have a rather different purpose from a modern domestic machine page. Industrial owners are more likely to be looking for an exact needle system, bobbin, walking-foot component or replacement part than a general list of sewing accessories.

When looking for SINGER sewing machine parts, use the full model number whenever possible. “Heavy Duty” is a product family, not a compatibility specification. Likewise, two older industrial machines with nearly identical badges should not be treated as the same machine because the first three digits match.
SewFitGuide separates what is confirmed from what is merely absent. Use the machine records for specifications, manuals and model distinctions. The searchable catalog and part tables also include models with more limited documented accessory coverage.
The part pages work in the opposite direction. If you already have a SINGER Class 15J bobbin or an exact part number, the cross-reference can show which published machines are tied to that system.
