About this machine

The SINGER 7469Q is the quilting-specific Confidence Quilter version of the 7469 platform. SINGER product material supports 98 built-in stitch patterns, programmable needle up/down, drop feed, an extension table and quilting feet. Current SINGER accessory data also confirms Class 15J bobbins and the computerized CB compatibility group.

SINGER's 98-versus-100 wording is internally inconsistent

A legacy SINGER UK page introduces the 7469Q with 98 stitch patterns, then labels a later feature block '100 Built-In Stitches'. The categories shown directly underneath are 8 essential, 6 stretch, 77 decorative and 7 buttonholes, which total 98. A SINGER-branded product sheet also says 98.

The Q suffix carries real quilting context

The 7469Q's extension table, quilting feet, programmable needle position and 1/4 inch seam guidance make the Q version more than a cosmetic renaming. Original-package features and currently compatible accessories answer different questions.

Service family does not erase the model boundary

The 7469 and 7469Q share service documentation, but SINGER's parts list still uses factory-model and serial checks. That is exactly the kind of case where a family relationship is useful context but not evidence that every component or included accessory is identical.
