Baby Lock covers a wide mix of sewing, embroidery, quilting, serger and longarm equipment. That variety is useful until somebody searches for “Baby Lock bobbin” and expects one answer.
There isn't one.
The current SewFitGuide catalogue includes a large group of Baby Lock machines that the manufacturer lists for BLG-BOB Class 15 bobbins. It also includes professional, longarm and multi-needle records tied to the BMP-BOB metal bobbin system.
The difference matters because both products are genuine Baby Lock bobbins. The brand name on the package does not establish which machine they belong in.
SewFitGuide stores both the public machine name and useful model-code aliases where they are available. That helps with Baby Lock because the name printed in a brochure, the model code used on an accessory page and the text somebody types into search are not always identical.

Search for the Baby Lock model first if it is known. Search the model code as well if the machine has one.
The model record shows only the compatibility relationships that have been verified for that machine. At the moment, bobbin coverage is much broader than some other part categories because Baby Lock publishes explicit compatibility lists for those products.
That will not remain the only useful information. Needles, feet, embroidery hoops, longarm parts and other accessories can be added to the same model records as documentation is verified.
Keeping one canonical machine page matters here. An embroidery owner may search for a Baby Lock bobbin today and a compatible hoop six months later. They should not have to navigate two nearly identical pages pretending those are unrelated machines.
The parts pages also let users start from the other end. If the package says BLG-BOB or BMP-BOB, the system page can show which published Baby Lock machines are explicitly connected to that identifier.
